줄거리
동무가 되어 주기 위해 찾아 온 외할머니 앞에서 치매에 걸린 친할머니는 외할머니의 딸인 며느리에 대한 험담을 늘어놓는다. 딸을 욕하는 사돈에게 외할머니는 화를 내기도 하지만, 한편으로 아무도 이해해주지 않는 친할머니에 대한 동정심을 갖게 된다. 그러던 어느 날 친할머니는 세상을 떠나고, 외할머니는 그 장례식장을 찾는다. (A grandmother who is suffering from advanced Alzheimer's disease, says unspeakable things about her daughter-in-law to the maternal grandmother who is visiting. The maternal grandmother becomes a little angry at her confused in-law insulting her own daughter, yet feels pity for the old woman that nobody understands. One day, the grandmother passes away and the maternal grandmother comes to the funeral.) 연출의도. 이 작품은 치매로 고생하다 고인이 된 감독의 외할머니의 실화를 바탕으로 하고 있다. 두 노인의 이야기를 통해 사회적으로 규정된 관계를 뛰어넘는 인간에 대한 측은지심을 그려보고자 했다. 아직은 젊은 감독과 제작자가 사돈지간인 두 노인의 관계를 완전히 이해하고, 표현해낼 수 있었다고는 감히 말할 수 없었기에, 가능한 담담한 시선을 유지하려고 노력하였다. (This work is based on the true story of the Director's maternal grandmother, who passed away after suffering from Alzheimer's. The Director attempted through the story of the two old women, to portray sympathy among humans, which rises over the socially defined relationships between them. The young director could not presume to completely understand and express the relationship between the two in-laws, so attempted to keep an objective view as much as possible.)
